What is ANREX?
ANREX stands for – Ammonium Nitrate Rubber Explosives! It is the combination of ammonium nitrate and classified rubber crumb that together forms a powerful explosive.
How ANREX work
- It is a blasting agent and therefore works on the same principle as all blasting agents used in explosives.
- An explosive is a chemical compound or mixture of compounds that undergoes a very rapid decomposition when initiated by energy in the form of heat, impact, friction, or shock
- The principal reacting ingredients in an explosive are fuels and oxidizers. In ANREX the oxidizer is the Ammonium Nitrate and the fuel the classified Rubber crumb.

The rubber crumb is derived from local used tyres that is salvaged from tyre fitment centers all over South-Africa giving it a second life purpose.
